Jamie Lavigne – General Manager

Jamie joined Walden in October of 2008. He is a member of the Club Manager’s Association of American and graduate of University of New Orleans, with a degree in Business Administration. At UNO, he was a four year letterman on the university’s golf team followed by a brief stint competing as a professional.
His professional career began with Marriott as an Assistant Golf Professional at the Chardonnay Club in Napa Valley, California. Jamie left Marriott to work for American Golf as an Assistant Golf Professional then Assistant Manager in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Now in his 11th year as a club manager, Jamie previously managed Pelican Point Golf Club in Gonzales, Louisiana where he oversaw the construction and management of a 36-hole semi private facility. He entered the private club industry with ClubCorp as the General Manager at Diamante Country Club, in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, then with East West Club Partners at Twin Creeks Country Club in Austin, Texas.
He is married to Babette and they have an 8 year old daughter, Ema. Away from the club, Jamie enjoys coaching Ema’s soccer team, hiking, backyard barbecues and following the LSU Tigers.
Kurt Plankenhorn– Executive Chef & Food and Beverage Director

Kurt joined Walden in January of 2009. He came to Walden from Twin Creeks Country Club in Cedar Parks, TX as the Executive Chef. His wife, Laurel, is a pastry chef. Kurt grew up in Arkansas where he gained experience from working at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs as the Food & Beverage Director, and the Peabody Hotel in Memphis as the Sous Chef for Master Chef Jose Gutierrez. He is looking forward to bringing new and exciting things to Walden Country Club.
