Craig Bobo – Director of Tennis & Athletics
Age: 44 Married with Five kids.
Hometown: Born in Tennessee, and raised in Birmingham, Alabama until the age of 11. Moved to the Sugarland area in 1977 and have lived in the Houston area now for 34 years.
Education: Graduate of Dulles High School in 1986, Played Division I Collegiate Tennis at UTEP 1986-87 and Texas State University 1988-90
Playing Experience: As a USTA Texas Junior, Craig was ranked as high as #7 in the Texas Junior Rankings and in the Top 100 in the Nation. As an Adult, Craig has been ranked as high as #1 in FSD Doubles and has played and Captained numerous Men’s Teams to both the Sectional and National Championships.
Coaching Experience: Craig has worked with both adults and juniors for over 20 years now. He is known as a superb technical coach who brings a dynamic and positive, energetic style of instruction to the court. Craig gives much of the credit to his junior coach and mentor, Chris Bovett. Craig has worked with many high level juniors over the years, helping them to achieve collegiate scholarships. He is also known as one of the top ladies’ team coaches in the Houston area too.
Professional Experience: Craig is a USPTA P1 Certified Pro and has served as a professional over the last 20 years at various clubs and resorts at every level. This is Craig’s second stint as the Director here at Walden.

Brady Mazzola – Head Professional
Age: 33 Single
Hometown: Orange, Texas
Education: Played Division I Collegiate Tennis at Lamar University
Playing Experience: Brady was a top level Super-Champ in USTA Texas Juniors, and has played on Men’s Team’s representing both California and Texas at both the Sectional and National level.
Coaching Experience: Brady is a High Performance Coach &
Strength/Conditioning Coach and Coach to the Armitraj’s & the ‘Stars’ of Hollywood, as well as, Celebrity Exhibitions with Pete Sampras.
Professional Experience: Brady has served in all professional capacities at various clubs over the last 10 years.
Sam Griffin – Associate Staff Professional
Age: 20 Single
Hometown: Kingwood, Texas
Education: Kingwood College, Applicant to Nursing School
Playing Experience: Sam was a top level Super-Champ Junior with college scholarship opportunities and is a 5.0 Rated Adult Player.
Coaching Experience: Sam has been working with area Junior Programs for the last 2 years and has been teaching private lessons for the last 18 months. He has a passion for teaching and is a southpaw.
Professional Experience: Sam has served in various capacities in both the Tennis Shop and on the court at various clubs in the area over the last 2 years.
